Reactor Technology III (L2,E2)

Subject of this lecture is a comprehensive view of the neutron-physical design of nuclear fission reactors. The neutron-physical design is discussed both for the steady-state and the transient case.

Course Prerequisites:

This course can be attended by students with completed "Vordiplom" in mechanical/electrical engineering or physics. Knowledge of the lecture courses "Reactor Technology I" and "Reactor Technology II" is required.

Placements and Projects:

The departament, the Institute for Safety Research and Reactor Technology at the RC Jülich also in co-operation with industry offers several opportunities for placements, projects, diploma and PhD theses in reactor technology (materials science or neutron physics).
